Technology & Benefits

The FUMIN COATING TM  is a new technology, which is environmentally friendly. A coating fluid is applied to a substrate with a spray gun, which is equipped with a blower for forming an air curtain. The coating will air dry to form a thin-film containing an ultraviolet-screening agent and an infrared -screening agent on the surface of the glass.

Ultraviolet cut

Cutting down harmful UV by 90 percent to protect your skin, furniture and merchandise.

Visible light transmitted

Not compromising luminance and visibility with the light coming through windows.

Infrared rays cut

Cutting heat producing rays by over 50 percent thus saving energy through reduced air-conditioning.

Saving energy

In winter, FUMIN COATING TM minimizes the rate of heat loss.

Minimize condensation problems

No more water dripping. Water droplets never form on Fumin coated glass.

Easy application on all glass surfaces

Coating can be applied on all types of glass, large or small, including metal mesh reinforced glass, curved glass, and frosted glass on the interior or the exterior of a building.

The improvement in the optical and solar properties of the glass can be seen from the solar heat gain coefficient. This is due largely to the reduction in the direct solar transmittance of glass coated with FUMIN COATING TM  at especially both the UV and IR range. We will need to clarify with TUV SUD PSB the detailed calculation of the SHG values, which in turn affects the SC values.
It is to be noted that the main source of heat from solar radiation is from the IR range aside from the diffused and convection heat. The spectral transmission graph shows impressive performance of FUMIN COATING TM.

The FUMIN COATING TM significantly reduces the direct solar transmittance.
For the clear glass, the reduction is mostly in the UV and IR range. For the IR range, the longer the wavelength, the greaterthe reduction. This can effectively reduce the heat gain into the building associated with heat from the longer wavelength IR radiation.
For the tinted glass, there is similar trend although the tinted glass itself block out some of the IR radiation.
In the UV range, FUMIN COATING TM appear to block out a large part of the radiation. This can help to protect the interior finishes from UV damages.
